These simple common temples, dedicated to the old draconic cults can still be found scattered across the realm, all of similar construct and typically built of stone quarried from local sources. This example was more elaborate than most, built of whytestone, a hard rock found deep underground near the volcanic mountains that were once home to the dragons themselves and believed to hold magical properties. Aptly named King’s Temple, this shrine was where bonding rituals were performed between newly hatched dragons and newborn infants, its remote location preferred among those Houses who made their living on the sea. After the fall of the last dragon, this temple along with all the others was allowed to slowly decay into ruin.
Long believed to have been driven to extinction, Γygal would be the first dragon seen in over 400 winters and his appearance would mark their eventual return.
